What is Neurofeedback?
EEG Biofeedback training works by improving the brain's important self-regulatory functions through the process of neuro-feedback. It is a technique that is prescribed by neurologists and psychoterapists for many deseases.
The brain is monitored at all times during EEG Biofeedback training and the information gathered is visualised in real-time for the patient in the form of an interactive game. The patient (but actually their brain) is rewarded when key types of brain activity move towards the goal points given by their doctor. In this way, the brain can be trained and more positive and stabilising patterns of brain-activity can be encouraged and strengthened.
The use of fun computer games during training make this form of training an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all. It is a progressive form of learning and can effect every measurable function of the brain. Neuro-feedback is often called EEG Biofeedback because it is a technique that measures the electric activity of the brain - the brain's EEG waves.
